June 22, 2011: ;)

Hola family! I LEAVE NEXT MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh goodness im too excited.. scared... happy.. nervous... ALLL thee above! its sooo crazy! Time is just flying by... but at the same time its not haha But this past week has been kinda rough.. I will probably be getting surgery on my toe either tomorrow or friday haha i cant really walk.. But hey no big deal then ive been sick as well just an annoying cold i think it just was annoying.. but other then that all is well! Yesterday was an awesome day! We were able to go the Plaza again so it was awesome. This time we were with our white comps so Elder Hopkins and I did our best! We got 5 referrals it was awesome.. So surprised at how well we did it was way fun! I have a story that I will write you about today.. It was cool but yeah it started raining while we were there so everyone ran for the buildings for cover It was funny Hardest its rained yet. But it was great. Today is the last day at the temple :( im sad but all will be great. also it closes after we leave which is sad for the next group it just closes for 3 weeks. but im glad it didnt close while i was here. but any who. Last night was super great Elder James Martino i think his name was i forget haha but he has spoken in conference i believe anyway he came and spoke to us! He is an amazing man! I got to talk to him for a bit after and hes coming to Central mission in september so we get to hear from him again. YAY.. I didnt even use my translator last night because i could understand his spanish for some reason he spoke super good. haha I was surprised! But he also told us how it took him a good 4-5 months to learn spanish but he promised with power and assurity that it will come! The power that he spoke with was amazing I loved yesterday it was just great! it was great to get that assurity that i will get the language! some times i feel like I will never be able to speak it but I know I will and i cant wait! I see the miracles of the Lord in my life everyday! It is amazing how much I am blessed! I love being a missionary and I love being here in Guatemala! Im excited and eager for the task at hand! I love you all and miss you all! I hope all is well for everyone and Happy Fathers day I feel bad I didnt know. But I hope it was great! I love you all and pray for you daily morning and night! This is truly the Lords work and I am trying to be the best i can be to serve the lord I hope you are all as well! The church is true theres no denying it! Hello everybody... How is everything back home? I hope well! Everything thing is pretty good here! The new groups came on last wednesday! Its great to meet new people! Its so crazy though this is our second to last Pday until the field! Im super excited but at the same time kinda worried! ;) Spanish is difficult but I am still loving it! I actually know more then I think I do! Its fun to talk to the latinos here! They do the same things as the others MOOOOOOOON or Lunaaaaaa haha its pretty funny!! My companion and I share a latin compaion this time his name is Elder Quintinilla or something like that... He doesnt really like us we think. Not sure why he just kind of ignores us. We save him a seat for every meal but he just looks at us then walks and sits some where else its pretty funny but we will keep working with him. His companion is super funny! Elder Sanchez hes from Mexico. Hes going to Central so he keeps saying how were going to be companions haha. He calls me toro which means bull or he also calls me the big show.. I couldnt understand him forever but The Big Show is a wrestler hahaha its super funny. I like the nicknames I get here.. the last group of latinos I was all of the tele tubbies just depended on the day. One day i was lala the other day tinkie winkie.. HAHA it makes me laugh. But anywho all is well here im enjoying everything about the CCM. The new nortes are pretty cool. 3 of them were in a district with David Cusick and then another 3 with Chase Lindsley haha so its pretty cool david gave them a letter to give to me it was pretty funny. Hes crazy. They just couldnt get over how crazy he was. But now they have me... haha JK  Its funny to hear them talk about David though hes just crazy as ever i guess but doing good!  Last night we watched a talk by Elder Richard G. Scott it was really really good. He is such an amazing man! It was at the MTC on April 19th so about a week before i went in but he used his Apostolic power and gave a blessing upon all the Language learners that they will recieve the gift of tongues! haha it was pretty neat! Well I hope all is well and fun to hear from Grandma Jake in California! I got that letter yesterday! Good to get letters! But I hope all is well with the ward Mom and Dad sounds like some fun stufff!! But I probably wont be able to send the camera back through Sis Rhoades.. Because ive never met her or seen her I wish I have but The workers here just get the package probably at the gate.. were pretty secure here in the CCM. Well I love you all and I gotta go now but all is well and the church is true and Missionary work is truly his work! Well much love n stuff! Love Elder Moon

Hey crew! Well today was probably the coolest days here at the CCM! we got to go on like a field trip since everyone left and our district is the only district in the CCM. So today we went to fun places! it was crazy! We first got to go to this relief map that was a big ol map of guatemala and all of the mountains it was really really neat sounds weird but its pretty cool i got a lot of pics but any who we went with a older couple that is here serving a mission and he is like a councler to our ccm president but hes not he is a great guy Elder Rogers. He explained, as we were looking over the map, where all the Book of Mormon took place and named a whole bunch of things! it was awesome! He strongly believes this is where they were hes done alot of looking in to it and from what he says and what the Book of Mormon says.. It is Guatemala.. So awesome though! Any who after that we drove.. in the crazy city.. to a flea market where its like 3 levels under ground it was awesome! I got some cool stuff I got a switch blade that is pretty nifty haha and also a tie that matches a bag i got and then some other cool things but it was really cool place! After that we went to a mall! This mall was prolly more modern then any mall in Utah it was awesome! There we just walked around and looked at cool stores and things like that! but conected to the mall is a museum that explains ruins that this mall was built on it was really cool museum! I hope this is making sense! hah it was a great day today i love being out in the city! CCM is great but its almost like a prison not going to lie.. We are fenced in and have to be buzzed in and out guards all around us we get escorted to the temple! Haha Its great but just kinda crazy.. Were not in Kansas anymore! HA Yup well I love it here still my spanish is getting better everyday!! You all prolly wonder why im emailing today? thats because we wont have time to do it tomorrow because today was pretty much our PDAY.. but Temple is still tomorrow! YAY we have to do everything in spanish for the first time YAY... :/ im scared haha it will be good though! But hey heres a Challenge to yall write me tonight so i can read it tomorrow! We get time to read emails tomorrow just not to write so You should all email me!! Anywho all is well.. Ive already lost 10 pounds which is good i guess haha Oh yeah almost forgot.. I NEED MUSIC im dying out here everyone has their iPods or some thing I shouldve brought something.. But thats why I have you right? You should somehow send me my speaker i got for Christmas then send me like a CD player or some kind of device with a whole bunch of MO TAB.. Disney music.. Church music.. Movie sound tracks! Just stuff I can sing my heart out to and is good for the soul ya know! Elders that just left played Taylor Swift non stop it was funny.. if you send it soon i can get it before i leave the CCM.. Thanks for the boots theyre going to be much needed ive been told.. HAHA But yeah hopefully I can get some music.. I need somethin haha maybe even just lyrics to songs or something haha.. But yeah were all alone tonight but then we get a whole new group of nortes and latinos im excited to meet new people!! But i miss everyone already! Oh well i got all of theyre contact info n stuff so all is well! Well everything is great down here in the CCM de Guatemala! Mi Español es no bueno! Pero estabien.... Well I love you all and I hope you all write me so i can read tomorrow WELL I LOVE YOU ALL and hope all is well back home! Thanks for writing me Stef though! I hope you can send some pics of HAM haha thats crazy he is walking!! and I guess we can agree to disagree Because lets face it Guatemala is Book of Mormon territory! hahahaha LOVE YOU ALL!! Hello everybody! I love love love it here still! Yesterday was my best day here by far! We woke up did our normal routine of sports personal study n stuff then at 10 we went to the park to go proselyting! hahahaha OH how great it was! So crazy!! everybody just chills at this little plaza. Its kinda crazy there is like goats running around bunch a birds n stuff like that. haha its surrounded by cathidrols...? too.. dont know how to spell it. but it was great I got assigned a native comp named Elder Rojas one of my companions! He is awesome his spirit is so strong! It was really hard but I got my point across when it was my turn! We did it for about an hour and 20 mins and it was great we got 7 referrals and then handed out a bunch of pamphlets haha it was super cool experience! The craziest part was the bus ride!!!! WOW buses own the roads down here haha its crazy you turn corners at like 40 miles an hour and on two wheels its cool but kinda scary! Horns are the way you use your turn signals haha no one pays attention to the traffic lights or laws its really kind of crazy! But I love Guatemala coolest city ever? yeah you betcha! Later that day after dinner we had a diviotional a councler in our area presidency spoke Elder Falabella soon to be the Area president! he is awesome you might remember his name because he has spoken in conference! it was so great! he knows the Book of Mormon like the back of his hand and it was fun to have him teach and talk to us! After that before bed we always have our stick pulling contests of course I win! Im pretty much undefeated haha! Well I feel like i never have enough time! I love you all and hope all is well back home.. I havent gotten my boots yet and the Temple is soooo GREAT!! Its super small and different but it is so beautiful and just so great! Im excited to go again this after noon! Weather is great here its sunny for a while then all of a sudden its POURING! its awesome then right back to being sunny and everything dries up! HAHA Im kinda sad that everyone leaves us on tuesday i will miss all of them but then on that wednesday we get new people YAY! haha Its just so great here I already have so much love for the people and Ive only been our in the world once! haha it was so great i cant really explain it! I didnt say much but i understood pretty well! I love to see the progression i make everyday and i know none of this is possible without the Lord! Its so great being a full time servant of his work! Truly is HIS work! I love you all and hope all is well! I will try and hand write all of you later this day! Well everything is well and just keeps getting better and i cannot wait until i am out in the field trying even harder! Love you all and Miss you all haha Welp cya later!
