January 8th, 2013: Family

Hello Family!

This past week was a week that was called The Perfect week. Its the week that we have to achieve all of our goals with New investigators and lessons and things like that. We werent able to baptize darn it all. And we didnt get atleast 8 to Sacrament meeting so we were a little bummed with that but we did our best and Worked our butts of too kill the lessons and kill in finding new investigators. It was great. but we are hoping for baptisms here soon it will be great. We have some good familes that we are teaching and so we will be able to get them in the water for sure. But we need to do it in this month because this is the big month that we are going to baptize 350 as a mission. So keep that goal in your prayers and we reach for that amount i know that we will be able to do it! Cool story to end because i dont have much time but with a family that we just found We were trying to close the lesson and we told the family that any questions that they might have we would do our best to answer them and if we couldnt answer them we would study to find out the answers. The wife of the family thought that it was intresting that we studied everyday. We asked her to end with the prayer. She agreeed and in her prayer she ask God to help us to be able to study good enough to help them with the things that we need. When she said that it really made me realize the importance of studying and studying good everyday. As a misionary our investigators really depend on our studies and the revelations that we recieve as we study. It really has helped me to focus more on each investigator and to find out what they need through our studies. I tried to do it before but now my focus is alot better. It was a great prayer! They are a great family! They will be baptized in this month. After the prayer the Wife asked if we could pass by their house everyday to teach them The husband was taken back so she said well every other day! So we agreed and now we hope to baptize them here soon! Keep them in your prayers! the Family Mejia Perez they are awesome! Well i sure do love you all and hope that you all know that I know that the Lord lives and this is his work! I love being a missionary and I couldnt be happier of where I am and what I am doing! This is where im meant to beee I can find my way i can go the distance.. haha just kidding. Hurcules Hurcules!! Welp i love you all! God Speed Familia Mia!

President Brough said that, that is where the Lord wanted me to go and what he wanted me to do. He said he tried to send me to other parts of the mission but that is where the Lord wanted. The place I am going is called Las Margaritas. It is part of the new stake of El Frutal. It is going to be AWESOME! My two new Hijos will be worked to death!! Its going to be quite fun!! November 29th, 2012: Buen Dia

Hello my wonderful family! How is everyone doing? Can you all believe it that it is almost Decmeber! How crazy is that! Time is flying by! I bet you are all loving the Christmas music on the radio. Here in the office thats all we listen to! Its great. David Archuletta and Motab christmas is the best!  Well last change I dont think I ever told you about the two people we baptized a couple weeks ago huh? Well they were just two brothers that a family gave us as a reference. The oldest is 16 and his name is Christian and the other is Alex and hes 10. It was great. Right now we are working on their Grandma and oldest brother but they are a little more hard hearted. But thats okay we can do it with the help of the Lord. But they are awesome. Here in the office our motto is kind of like the motto of the Titanic. "Women and Children first!!"... ha.. Not really but thats how it is right now! The worth of every soul is great! My letters are boring huh. I just dont know what to write anymore.
We had a pretty cool experience the past week. We were in a bus on a way to visit someone at the very top of our area. While talking to everyone that we could some guy came up to me and said "Can you come to my house right now?". I said well sure. But who are you? I said. He said that he used to know the missionaries and that he wanted us to come to his house. He lived in a place far a way from where we were going so we asked if we could pass by tomorrow he said that would be fine! So we went and found where he lived the next day. He is married to a member who is inactive. He said when he saw us in the bus it was a Miracle because he had been praying to find someone that could help his wife. Because she has been sick. He remembered about the blessings that we give and right then he realized that it was an answer to his prayers. He is a super humble guy and wants to learn more about the church. But they arent married.. like every other couple here in Guatemala and he works sundays but we will have to see what we can do about that because he needs to be baptized! It was a great lesson that we had with them and the spirit was strong! He was also an answer to our prayers. We have been looking and looking for people to baptize and before we found him we really had no candidates. But the Lord works in great ways and I am so grateful for the opportuinities that we have as missionaries to be able to see his hand in the work every single day! Today we have another lesson with this guy. His name is David. So I am excited about that.

Well anywho. I love all of you and I hope that we can all see the little things that the Lord does for all of us each and everyday! I love the Lord and I know he lives. He can and will help us change our lives! I love this work and couldnt be happier in this part of the vineyard! I love my family and I am so very Grateful for each one of you!!! Thanks for your prayers and love!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE ANN I SURE DO LOVE YOU AND HOPE YOU HAD THE GREATEST DAY EVER!!!! I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 23rd, 2012: I L0V3 MY FAMILY

Hello Family!!!

Como ESTAMOS!?!!? Muy Bien! Sure hope Thanksgiving was fun. I was here. In the office. Haha. But good news is that I found a huge box of Stuffing at a place called Pricemart here. Its like Costco and it has a lot of american things so I was pumped and had to buy it! I did, at least make some stuffing yesterday here in the office! It was great! I bet yall had some fun though? Cool beans! Well I feel like my letters have surely not been that good lately. I am sorry. I think I have been kind of down. I didnt really know why but on monday we had Interviews with President and he really helped me a lot! He is such an amazing man and is really guided by the spirit! At first I thought I was down because no one writes me and no one loves me but then I thought about it and realized a lot of people love me. Que me importa if no one writes me. Thats what I say. After I thought it was because no one wants to listen to our message and everyone hates us as missionaries. The only people that love us are the Drunk guys out on the street. But that only lasts like 10 minutes and ends with them crying and hugs from them. Its so precious. But that really thats not it either. President told me that I am turning into an Office Elder. He told me that is was he doesnt want. He said I am a Missionary first and an Office Elder Second. He told me that it happens. Its hard to maintain our spirituality in the office. It is so true. I really have to focus in being more diligent and getting my studies in. In the office its hard to get studies in. That is the main thing that I have been missing is really the daily study that we really need as missionaries and as children of God. So since monday I have been having my personal study atleast an hour a day and really it has made all the difference! Yesterday even proved it. We had a good day in the office and left on time from the office. Got back to the area to work and we had 6 lessons and found 7 new investigators that are really positive! It was great! I sure cannot wait to get back to the field just 4 weeks more! YAY. President told me I really need to prepare now to get back to the field! Its going to be great!! Gotta just finish strong! I know I can do it! Well that was my story for the day! But I will be better in my weekly letters. I just am not a big fan of writting, I just dont know what to write. and I know you are all the same! Welp I sure do Love you all and hope you all can realize the importance of daily study of the Gospel. I know it will bless your lives ALOT! Welp the Church is true and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ lives and loves us more than we can imagine. And So Do I!!!! MUCH MUCH LOVE!!

Love you missionary,
