Dear Papi.

   Well I dont remember who this Sam kid is. But it does ring a bell. But you hit it right on the head when you said he is probably not living some commantments because it is what happens here alot with our investigators. They dont want to get baptized because they cant live one of the commandments. We have to always find out which one it is and work on it till they change. That sure is a bummer.

   The is office is great! I will write a family letter today if I have time. But pretty much I am just in the office everyday until 4 oclock and then I head to work! Its kind of a bummer cause we dont work as much but it is definately a plus seeing the other side of President Brough! I love that man and I have the greatest opportunity to be able to work with him side by side. I love it already. The office crew is great! Just gringos. and lets just say I now have a cell phone and I get to drive the truck! Its crazy driving here in Guate. Rules dont exsist. I drove for the first time yesterday! But Ill probably write a family letter today and include more. But yes. I do get the packages as soon as they get here so its great. But yes please send medication! I had my first allergy attack here in Guate this past weekend. It might be my new area! But sounds good I love you all and also. Am I able to take personal money out on my credit card? Ive been using it because here in the office its a little different. Things are alot more expensive and We dont have a cook like all the other missionaries we eat fast food just here in the office. I hope I just dont blow up and get super fat again. Im going to have to be good about what I eat. But its going to be great. I just dont hope I spend too much money here in the office but to survive Ill have to spend a bit. also... I would love to buy a new suit! There is a guy famous with the missionaries that makes super cool suits! I was going to just get one right before I go home but he lives super close to me and my suit is super big and ugly and so I was thinking about making one now anndd when I go home.. What say you? I gotta look good for president ya know? 

   Well I love you and you can email when ever. I am always on the computer. I have to deal with Excel and a lot of great things like that. But it should be great! I only know computers because I learned alot just watching you! HAH! Its great though. Well I will probably write more later. But right now I gotta do somethings. but as a secretary we can pretty much do whatever! Welp love you!

July 16th, 2012: Letter from President Brough

Family of Elder Alexander Robert Moon,It is with appreciation that I inform you that Elder Moon has been called to serve in the office of the Guatemala Guatemala City Central Mission.  Like all of the Lord’s work there is a requirement for administration and organization.


As a secretary, he will have a tremendous impact on my ability to serve the great people of Guatemala and know that all functions are being performed as the Lord would have them done in the office.  This is a tremendous responsibility.


I appreciate Elder Moon for being a missionary that I can trust.  He will be blessed for the sacrifice of working hard in this new calling.

July 10th, 2012: Family

Dearest Family,

   Buen Dia.... How is everyone doing?... Well great!! Im doing just great! Changes came.. Im out.. Again. One change in my last are and one change in this area! QUE Chafa!!! I was a little bummed I wanted to stay here for some time. But nope im out. Also i have an interview with president. Saber por que. Not even sure why! Oh Wells.. Its been a great week! That old man is a great guy. Too bad I wont be around for his baptism! Sure do love him though! This has been a good week but a long week waiting for changes. I really didnt want to leave and my comp was just saying how much he hates the area and welp hes staying im leaving HA! oh well! Anywho.. Happy 4th!! I sure do miss the fourth of July. Its truly the best. But dont worry I celebrated it. It was the 6th month mark of my comp and so i bought him a pizza the fourth and we celebrated it. Alot of things went good that day. MY companion finished the BOM for the first time and has 6 months in the mission and it was the best day in a america so I was happy! i bought the Pizza on my credit card. I just found out that works! Sorry needed some money.. I bought things in antigua on it and today on it.. Just food n stuff but I hope it wasnt alot haha it Quetzales is was.. haha But i just need to celebrate n stuff so I used it!! Well this has been a crazy 14 months. I feel so far a way from all of you! haha I dont know why but these last couple of days and week ive been kind of home sick.... I dont like it!! I never have been.. It doesnt keep me from working. But its just a weird feeling!! I think its just because i have someone that is going home in my district and he is ALWAYS talking about home haha But I dont know. This change will be great because i and get back and lost in the work again!! But Ill let you know what happens in changes that next week! looks like yall had fun for the FOURTH.. I LOVE THE FOURTH!! Haha I LOVE AMERICA!! WELL I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!! Congrats Molly Bear.. Keep on being Fabulous!! Sure do love you... Wait on the Lord be strong and of good courage!..... WELP Love you all!!! I will be here in GUATE workin my BUtt off Dont you worry!! Love and miss you all!!!

July 3rd, 2012: hello

Family!

   Well this past week was alright but the new Chapel opened!! YAY!! That was super great! The open house was super great as well! I was very happy with the people that came and we got a lot of references! So you know what that means! BAPTISms!! hah not just kidding but freal people loved it! I actually have a cool experience that happend It may not be that cool for yall but i really loved it! Welp anywho.. So Thursday came and we really didnt have that much to do just contact really so we were contacting and contacting... What a long day it was. But it was good. Knocking doors and all.. We were walking and we passed an old man shoveling dirt. I had the impression to turn back and ask him if  we could help him. I asked him if he could use an extra 4 hands.. He politely declined but I got down and started helping him with handfulls of dirt. Didnt help him that much but he laughed and so I started talking to him and decided to invite him to the open house. Not thinking anything of it just a usual thing that we do as missionaries. haha.. Anywho saturday came and so did he. He came to the open house it was great! I didnt get to talk to him but i saw him leaving and so i thought to myself well I guess we will have to go back to his house some day! Sunday came and we were in Sacrament meeting and our Secretary entered and ask us to come to the hall with him as we entered in the hall there he was!! I was so pumped! i was like WHAT UP.. he was like thats the guy that I talked to! it was funny! He actually attended the Ward that started at 8 and went to all 3 meetings! wrong ward but he attended! We put a visit with him that same day and had a great lesson his first question was how can i become a part of your great church and so it was great.. Hes not going to be super easy because his family is super evangelica but thats okay!! It was a great experience. Hes super old and can barely walk but hes great! Really made me realize the inportance of opening my mouth and talking to everyone! made it a good week well i love you all and hope you all are doing well.. MUCH LOVE

June 26th, 2012: FAM

Family!! 

Well this past week was a good week I guess.. I Finally got my package yesterday!!! It was great.. with it came all your letters with Aunt Roxys as well It made my month!! I was so happy to get those!! Thanks so much! Also two other letters that were just super great from two great friends... But ive been sick so thats why its been a mas o menos week.. It was great thought just workin with a little somthing extra in your pants!! HAHA gotta love it!! but the package was great! i love that hot chocolate so much! Great package! Thanks so much! But I am super excited for this weekend because the stakecenter is finaly finished. The past 3 weeks weve had to go to a different church but finally the stake center is openig and this weekend is the open house so its going to be great! I cannot wait! It will help with the work so much we are trying to invite EVERYONE it will be awesome! We kind of need some help thought because our two families that we had now are gone one of them got into a fight and now are seperated and the other is ignoring us.. but thats okay. We just got to find find find and then baptize baptize baptize. But we actually were able to have another baptism on sunday. His name was Elmer. Hes great young man. I was very happy for him. He already goes to Seminary and is super great! This week will be a good week though we are going to work really really hard and I cant wait for the open house! Anywho.. thanks for the letters and the package! I was very happy and it was just the extra boost that I needed to work even harder! Well I hope all of you are doing well! I love you all and am very thankful for all of you! Thank you for the support you give me! I have grown so much and I continue to grow! I know with out a shadow of a doubt that this is the only true church! There are so many churches here in Guatemala it makes me sick! But thats why I am here! To Preach Teach and Baptize! Bring everyone unto the truth!! I love it!!! Its the greatest work ever!!! The savior Lives and Loves each one of us and if we rely on him everything is possible. We just have to rely on him more and more! I love the Book of Mormon and am so thankful I get to read it everyday because it truly does help with everything! I know that if you all can read it everyday you will all see the difference it brings! WEll I love you all and the church is true!!! Welp I will be sending finally the letters for Mothers day and molllys birthday and jakes birthday!! Im such a chambone Im sorry!!

June 19th, 2012: Hey

Family.. Well how are all of you? Super great? Sure hope so! Today in district meeting we talked about Faith and Hope. We are really lucky as disrict leaders these next couple of weeks we  just get to talk about Christlike attributes. Its great! But Faith and Hope are two of the favorite topics of Pres. Brough and its just super great when we get to talk about those two topics! But today it was great! I love a scripture in DandC 18:18-19 I think. but in spanish it translate to If you dont have faith hope or charity you cant do anything! I found it forever ago while studying and it is soo true! I love it. Anywho this past week was a good week. Yes dad we as well did have a baptism But Good for you dad! that is awesome!! Send him my love n stuff! But All is well here. I sat my companion down and told him he has to learn how to start talking! so thats what we have been working on. him talking more and it seems to be going well! he hates it but I love it . I talk ALOT lets be honest. So its helping me as well! Sometimes I talk too much! COOL BEANS! Well I dont really know what else to say. I would love   to answer questions! I just dont really know what to say anymore. I wish you could all see how great and crazy guatemala really is. You cant really explain it with words! Riding in buses! Talking to everyone! Its too great! I love Missionary work! Its going by way too fast! I couldnt be happier! I hope you all know how much I love you all and hope you are all doing really well! What a great experience for the family dad! Keep on looking for ways to share the gospel with everyone even thought everyone is members. You never know whose life you can change!! Well i love you all so much! THIS WORK MUST GO ON!!
